It includes an AppleScript that Michael wrote that can run on your Mac, and provides some nice MYN functionality within Things. I’ve seen the videos, and it is a really good course. Interesting timing on your comment - Michael Linenberger just announced his video course on using Things for MYN. His upcoming video course refines my process and adds considerable detail. The MYN process allows you to track an unlimited number of tasks.Ī couple of years ago, I wrote a guest post for his blog telling how to use Things for 1MTD and MYN. There’s also a simpler version of this approach called the One Minute To-Do List (1MTD), if you only need to track 100 tasks or less. He is about to release a video course showing how to use Things for MYN. Michael Linenberger has created video courses showing how to use various apps for MYN, including Todoist and Microsoft Outlook. Or if it MUST be finished on Thursday, put it in Critical now with a When date of Thursday. If you add a new task that you want to start on Thursday, but doesn’t have to be finished that day, put it in the Opportunity Now area with a When date of Thursday. Then you can just work from your Today list. Use the When date to get items off of your list until you need to see them. Items which you can work on, but don’t have to finish today, go in Opportunity Now.

There are several apps that can do MYN, and I think Things is the most elegant solution. This could be exactly what you’re looking for, since you are stressing about keeping up with the tasks that you must do. MYN prioritizes tasks according to when you have to do them.
